The Grand Canyon

These pictures go backwards for some reason. :) In May, on our way back from visiting Grandpa in AZ, we stopped by the Grand Canyon for the day. It was amazing!

There is a road that goes along the top. It starts at the visitor's center and ends at Hermit's Rest. Abby was appropriately resting.

This verse was right on the trail and so appropriately described my feelings as I looked at the amazing views!

Just before Hermit's rest, we were waiting for the perfect sunset picture. The wind had picked up and so Matthew was hiding in Mommy's arms behind a tree, but Abby was just walking around. :)

Matthew did NOT like the wind.

There was a whole family just walking through a campsite!

At the very beginning of the day, we hiked a trail down the cliff with the kiddos. Matthew did really well since we stopped for lots of snacks. Hopefully next time we will make it to the bottom and back!

You can see the path at the bottom of the trail. Apparently, you can camp down there...

These guys were everywhere.

You can also take trail rides down from a guy in old time attire.

Abby slept through much of this trail.
