Cathedral Rock

One day when the weather in the valley was SUPER hot, I decided I didn't have to take it anymore and escaped to the mountains with the kiddos. It was about a 3 mile trail round trip but took us 5 hours b/c of all the fun snack and playtime breaks. We had so much fun!

This is Cathedral Rock. When Matthew saw it looming up ahead of us, he asked, "Mama, does God live up there?" His question brought tears to my eyes because he didn't know what Cathedral meant. Just like the people who named the rock, Matthew could see God's majesty in that stone. Where's the butterfly??

Here we are stopped for one of our MANY snack breaks.
