Adventures of Bunny Bear....

We went on an adventure to the Tulle Ranch, Floyd Lamb State Park. They have ponds with ducks and mafia geese. These two ruled the roost. They bossed the Canadian geese around!!!
Bunny Bear slept through the geese. It was kind of windy and we had to shoo the mafia geese away from Bunny Bear. They thought she might be hiding some bread...

Here Bunny Bear is throwing bread in her sleep...

Matthew did not like the geese...

After this picture, things took a turn for the absurd. John realized he locked himself out of our car (I know, isn 't that my job??) So, we wandered about the buildings looking for something to do. The wind started picking up and it was getting colder, so we took shelter on the leeward side of the restrooms while waiting for USAA to send a locksmith. (None of the buildings were open except for this bathroom.) After an hour, John decided to see if he could break into the car himself. Bunny Bear, Matthew, the dogs and I decided to change sides of the bathroom b/c the wind was changing direction. In the minute after we moved, a sandstorm hit! John apparently tried to text me b/f it hit, but couldn't see his phone or hear anything. Luckily, we were able to sit up against teh bathroom door and watch the sand swoosh past us. I saw a family just before the storm hit head to the pond for fishing...and watched them blow back to the car in the sand. Eventually, just as John was about to break our window, the locksmith came. We got to the car and went to church all sandy! For those who have been in an Iraqi sandstorm, John said that the sand was less swirly, and not very fine. He said that standing in a Vegas sandstorm is more like standing in a little rock storm. I guess the sand here is a lot rockier. :) Bunny Bear slept through the whole thing. Some adventurer.
